Somehow, an arts festival brings out the often hidden 'appreciation of the arts' inside us, leaving us just a bit humbled. You can't help but feel a little awestruck by the talent of others.

Manly Arts Festival is a community based festival which highlights the diversity of arts in the Manly region. It's a two week program featuring a wide variety of exciting events. There truly is something for everyone. From visual art, music and theatre, to dance performances, literary events and youth workshops, the festival is a fantastic showcase for the kaleidoscope of talent in the local area.

The festival begins on Friday 2nd September, with the launch at 6 pm at the Manly Art Gallery & Museum by well respected artist, writer and actor Nell Schofield .

I have featured some of what I think are the highlights of the festival, however you can view the entire program for a detailed listing.
