Manila City Garden Hotel is a good place to stay in Makati. The hotel is excellent and the service, even better. It is a four-star hotel with five-star service.
Reception and lobby areas are quite pleasant and clean. A business centre with computers and free Wi-Fi is available next to the reception area. Other hotel facilities include a roof deck restaurant, gym, spa, outdoor swimming pool, spa, sauna, and valet parking.
The rooms are comparable to five-star hotel rooms. A guest can choose to upgrade to an executive deluxe room and have that further bit of luxury; a bigger room, a queen-sized bed, free in-room Wi-Fi.
Breakfast for two persons is included with all overnight stays. As in other hotels, breakfast is buffet style but guests can choose to order ŕ la carte and pay extra. The food is great with the usual continental and American breakfast choices, as well as, Filipino breakfast; fish, rice, Longanisa, and Tocino (the latter two are a pork sausage and cured, sweet and sour meat). In the summer months of April and May, beautiful, fresh and succulent local fruits are available on the buffet table.
The hotel's location is not in the flush part of Makati. Numerous buses and Jeepneys ply the main road, where the hotel entrance is situated. It is, however, only a short taxi ride to Makati's upscale Greenbelt, Ayala Center, Rockwell, and North Makati, where excellent shopping and fine dining abound.
