Mango Hill Laser and Paintball Skirmish are giving special deals to all you knuckleheads out there who want to declare war on boredom these school holidays.

Until December 22, laser skirmish will cost just $35 per person for a full three-hour public session, while private sessions (with a minimum of 20 people) are $45 per person. Paintball skirmish is $40 per head (includes 100 rounds), and you can upgrade for more rounds as well. Mango Hill Skirmish is Brisbane's only combined paintball and laser skirmish on one playing field. So for a great time out, grab your mates and get skirmishing (please note that you must be 15 years old or more to participate in paintball skirmish).

So how do you choose? Well, outdoor laser skirmish is suitable for all ages, and there are no flying projectiles or bruises to be had or seen. There are several guns to choose from, and for those who want to know a bit about what they are packing before they start shooting, I've listed three of the most common. The Morita Sniper Rifle comes retrofitted with a 200 round magazine, a power-illuminated scope, and can be fired in fully automatic or single shot modes. The Commando Assault Rifle can shoot up to 120 metres, has automatic and semi-automatic modes, and has a scope as well. Finally, the Spitfire Sub-Machine gun is an ideal close-quarters gun that you can also get with a silencer.

Paintball skirmish is more for the older kids, with a variety of bush tracks, forts and barricades to use for protection and adventure. There are different paintball markers (guns) to choose from as well, including the Piranha R6, the Piranha R6 E-Force, and the Invert Mini, to name a few. There are also automatic and semi-automatic guns to choose from, so if you think they sound good, wait till you check them out. The electronic paintball guns fire harmless biodegradable gelatin capsules, so they won't leave permanent damage. For those who prefer a fast paced, action-packed intensity game, then paintball skirmish is the one for you.

Whatever picks your fancy laser or paintball skirmish, it will certainly be a great time out with your friends and one that you will remember. The Mango Hill Skirmish fields are open seven days a week, with sessions from 9am till noon, and 3pm to 6pm. Whether it's you're a beginner or a pro, you will enjoy skirmishing these school holidays, so why not give it a try? For more details, please see the website or call 3203 1647 to book. Also note that if it's you're first time; you can arrange a free test-firing session before your private or public session, by simply calling Mango Hill Skirmish.
