Maney's Dumpling Restaurant

This place really buzzes. There's a hive of activity even early. By the time we got there at 6pm, the place was full and there were people standing around waiting for their take away. Luckily I had made a booking.
I was surprised how cheap the meals were and then doubly surprised to see the size of the servings. Equally pleasing was the service. We ordered, were served and had eaten in 45mins!
The serve of dumplings was 18 for $9.50 and they were quite large, so for four of us we had 9 dumplings each before anything else. Two newbies to dumplings raved about them.
The majority of the meals are under $10. We ordered spicy chicken noodles which were very tasty. They were served with spinach. It didn't put me off, although my son was not thrilled to see Popeye's vegetables in the dish he had picked. It tasted better than it looked.
My favorite of the night was the curried chicken. This dish had obviously been simmering for hours. Not normally a lover of carrots, these were very soft and a tasty combination with the potato. It's a bit disappointing that the chicken had bones in it. At only $9 it came with a serve of rice (inclusive).
The other main dish we ordered was stir-fried vegetables. It was pretty much just vegetables in oil but I guess it was intended that you create your own flavour with one of the sauces on the table.
There is quite a long list of possible options but with only the titles in English and the rest in Chinese it's tricky to know what some of the items contain. We didn't get to dessert.
So all up, three large main meals, rice and 36 dumplings was only $47! You can't do much better than that. We even had leftovers so could have got away with it for under $10 per head.
