This exciting event will be held on Sunday 21st October 2018 from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm. It will be a free, interactive day out with the whole family at another fabulous City of Mandurah Event. And this is easily doable in a day as it is just 50 minutes from the centre of Perth by train or car.
The event is targeted for children aged 3 to 12 years and will turn the Eastern foreshore into a colourful playground. Families are all encouraged to participate, learn and use their imagination.
This year's Mandurah Children's Festival will be more inclusive by providing the following:
Changing Places (located behind the Visitor's Centre)
Drop off and pick up zone (located in the rotunda car park near the toilet block)
Auslan interpreter at the main stage
Sensory rest stop (located opposite the rotunda at the centre of the foreshore). This is aimed at those wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of the Festival.
There will also be a variety of food stalls at this event with something for everyone.
And so as not to forget the adults, they will have some market stalls and these will showcase a variety of different products for both adults and children.
You can get involved in the Dress up Competition or the community art project - check out their site closer to the date for more details.
Win the Grand Prize
You will need to collect your stamp card from any of the two information points at the event for your chance to win the Grand Prize. For this, all you have to do is:
1. Collect your stamp card
2. Participate in the FREE workshops and collect your stamps
3. Once you have 3 or more stamps, go to an information point and complete a participation card, to go in the draw to win!
Dress up Competition
The Dress-up Competition will be based on this year's theme of sports and games! It will be open to children aged between 0 and 12 years of age. You will need to come dressed in your best sports and games inspired costume for your chance to win!
All those who dress up for the occasion will go home with a prize. The dress ups will be judged on "creativity, reflection of the theme discovery, quality of workmanship and overall presentation".
