Mandoo is a little Korean dumpling place located at Bank Street, Adelaide. It also serves the best Bibimbap that we have tasted in Adelaide. I was introduced to Mandoo Korean Dumplings when I was studying at Adelaide University. I usually had lunch there before the peak hour so it was a change visiting it during the peak dinner hour. Although the restaurant was crowded, service was very efficient and we only had to wait a short time before we were served our food. Seating is limited so it's best to make a reservation if you plan to be there during peak lunch and dinner hours.
The Korean dumplings are served either steamed or deep fried and come with different fillings – pork, chicken, vegetables and kimchi. Both types of dumplings were cooked just right with the crisp exterior of the fried dumplings contrasting nicely with the soft filling. The dumplings are accompanied by mashed potato and a green salad. Mandoo's special dipping sauce complemented the dumplings nicely. My family loved the crunchy pickles that come with the dishes.
The Beef Bibimbap is a bowl of white rice topped with vegetables and beef. To eat the dish, you first mix the rice, vegetable and beef thoroughly with the chili paste that comes with the dish. The portion was quite generous with the chili paste giving a nice zing to the ingredients of the Bibimbap. Other dishes offered at Mandoo were Udon with dumplings, soup and hot pot.

Prices for the dishes were reasonable, all dishes other than the hot pot costing around $15.
