Manchester United Legends vs. PFA Aussie Legends

If the names Scholes, Yorke and Sheringham mean anything to you, NIB Stadium is your home for the evening of Saturday, 25th March. One of the English Premier League's juggernauts (understatement alert) is sending some of its legends to Perth to play against Aussie football former stars Bobby Despotovski, Jamie Harnwell and Jonathon McKain.

The Manchester United Legends team will take on the Professional Footballers Associations (PFA) Aussie Legends in the exhibition match at NIB Stadium, all in the name of charity.



This historic match is a true once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for fans, as Perth welcomes Manchester United royalty Paul Scholes, Dwight Yorke and Teddy Sheringham to its shores. The PFA Aussie Legends team will be guided by former Australian player and coach Frank Farina – does he have the goods to muster a win over this legendary English powerhouse?



The match is being held to raise money for the Perth-based DT38 Foundation , a charity dedicated to raising awareness of testicular cancer, and was set up in 2015 following the death of Australian International and West Ham United player Dylan Tombides, who passed away in 2014 aged just 20 years old. It aims to educate men about the symptoms of testicular cancer and the dangers of being misdiagnosed. 38 was Dylan's number at West Ham, and was retired following his untimely death. The match will also raise funds for the Manchester United Foundation , which helps inspire young people to build a better lives for themselves.

NIB Stadium is the perfect ground for this type of event, allowing fans to get close to all the thrilling action and entertaining drama of this exhibition match – even though it's for charity, there will still be lots of friendly competition on the field.
