One of the most eclectic bars in Brisbane, the Mana Bar offers a unique setting in which to enjoy the nightlife in Fortitude Valley. Built upon a simple concept, the Mana Bar is one of the few establishments where nightly brawls are not only tolerated, they are actively encouraged. Whether you are taking on your friends in Super Smash Bros. or facing down strangers in Street Fighter IV, there is plenty of action. The several plasma screens and Consoles set up around the bar host the most popular and latest games for people to drop by and enjoy and it's all part of the charm. There is no extra cost to prove you are, in fact, a Guitar Hero.
Of course, the Mana Bar does not disappoint in the more traditional services of their mixologists -all of course with a gaming inspired background. The cocktail range from a fruity 'Princess Peach' and 'Ocarina of Lime' to more rich experiences like the Choco Island or the fiery take on a Bloody Mary, the 'Finish Him'. With prices averaging on $15 they are far from being the most expensive drinks in The Valley.
It is also well worth checking out the Facebook page dedicated to the Mana Bar. Every week new events are announced which include Costume Nights, Game and Movie Trivia, and Suit Up Sunday so you can get your game on in style. You might even find yourself in a few photos to help you remember the night before if you had one too many Ocarina of Limes.
Overall the Mana Bar is a great place to just hang out and relax. The staff are great and it's easy to find some friendly competition on the games as plenty of punters will happily accept your challenge. Be warned though, it can get quite busy on weekends, so arriving a little earlier will avoid disappointment.
