The ABBA Feel-Good Musical has returned
The ultimate feel-good musical has returned to QPAC. The fabulous production of Mamma Mia! The Musical is truly a must-see show. Featuring 22 of ABBA's greatest hits, Mamma Mia! The Musical centres on 20 year old, soon to be married, Sophie, who dreams of finding her father. Upon discovering her mother's diary she narrows down her search to three men, inviting them to the wedding.

Directed by Gary Young, the stellar production is fun, bringing much joy and laughter to the audience. Combining comedy with a great set, incredible vocals and amazing choreography, the extraordinary cast and crew successfully transport the audience to a small fictional island in Greece. Producers Michael Coppel, Louise Withers and Linda Bewick have also added in some new ABBA numbers.
The cast is superb. Playing Donna, Natalie O'Donnell inspires audiences with her emotive rendition of "Winner Takes It All" while Sarah Morrison (Sophie), sets the atmosphere with her stirring performance of "I Have a Dream". Alicia Gardiner and Jayde Westaby are splendidly cast as the dynamic duo Rosie and Tanya and Ian Stenlake, Josef Ber and Phllip Lowe play Sophie's possible fathers.
Tom Hodgson did not disappoint with choreography. "Voulez Vous" and "Dancing Queen" were high energy and perfectly sequenced performances while "Mamma Mia" and the flipper ballet from "Lay All Your Love on Me" created much laughter.
The second act certainly grabbed everyone's attention, with some audience members jumping from the loud noise. Concluding with "Mamma Mia" and "Waterloo", the audience was keen to jump out of their seats and dance along. Suzy Strout's spectacular costume designs included the iconic Mamma Mia! lycra outfits and funky white boots.
It's time to fall in love with the musical again. Don't miss this spectacular production. Mamma Mia! The Musical is only in Brisbane until 4th February, before continuing the tour to Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide.
