Bride-to-be Sophie is eager to have her father walk her down the aisle, however, the identity of her father is in question as there are three men from her mother's past who may claim the title. Set on a romantic Greek island on the eve of the wedding, the quest to determine Sophie's real father turns into a party to remember.
This exciting new Australian production of the romantic comedy is produced by Michael Coppel, Louise Withers and Linda Bewick. Withers proudly exclaims, "
MAMMA MIA! is exactly what we all need- an uplifting, fun-filled, heartfelt night at the theatre which puts a smile on your face and a spring in your step. The timeless tracks of ABBA never fail to bring joy to audiences across the world."
WAAPA alumni, Natalie O'Donnell stars as mother-of-the-bride Donna Sheridan. Remarkably Natalie starred in the original Australian production of
MAMMA MIA! in 2001 as Sophie and now comes full circle to play the role of Donna. Alicia Gardiner, who also played alongside Natalie in the original Australian production, stars as Donna's vivacious and loyal friend Rosie and Jayde Westaby joins the dynamo trio in the role of Donna's friend, Tanya.
Bride-to-be Sophie is being played by the young rising star, Sarah Morrison. Sophie's adoring fiance Sky is played by Stephen Mahy, who recently starred as Brad in
The Rocky Horror Show.
The three unsuspecting potential fathers are played by award-winning actor Ian Stenlake (playing Sam Carmichael), stage and screen actor Phillip Lowe (playing Harry Bright) and acclaimed theatre and screen actor Josef Bar (playing Bill Austin).
Fun for all ages, tickets start at $69.95 from
