The show is an amazing combination of music, dance, and fun. It's set on a small Greek Island and centres around Sophie, who is getting married in a couple of days and has invited three candidates who could be her father. In addition to this heart-warming story, are no less than twenty-two ABBA tracks!
I fell in love with this musical thanks to the story, costumes, music, and settings - I just couldn't turn away from the stage. The costumes and settings bring the romantic atmosphere of a small Greek Island to the shores of Sydney and the cast takes you on a journey that lets you forget the reality around you.
There were so many unexpected parts of the show that made the whole night an experience unforgettable. From the way that they welcomed you back from the interval, to the concert-like ending, I was thoroughly impressed.
For those of you interested in musicals or just a night of fun, Mamma Mia is at Sydney's Capitol Theatre till 6 May. It will be moving to Perth's Crown Theatre from May 2018 and then onto Melbourne's Princess Theatre in July 2018. Tickets can be purchased through www.mammamiathemusical.com.au
