Living with Malaysian housemates, I was tempted to try some of their authentic food.

Head to Mamak Corner - a cute, quirky Malaysian restaurant just off Hindley Street, next to Urbanest.

It's the perfect fix to every poor uni student/unemployed individual's diet.

Ordering a roti canai made my day! It was so tasty, you could sense all the herbs that were put in to make this beautiful dish!

For under 10 dollars, be prepared to be filled with some real, delicious, home-made style Malaysian food.

Seriously, how good is Mamak Corner! I live next door, and tonight I was just sitting at home feeling a bit hungry, and so I popped down to have Roti Planta (my absolute favourite because I'm a sucker for sweet/savoury). They even gave me a complimentary air limau because they thought I'd been waiting a while (I really hadn't).

This is my fave dish of all time Zarah. Its one of the reasons I keep on returning to Malaysia. I stayed in Penang for a month a few years ago and there was this little no frills street side stall doing this for about 50 cents..heaven!
