Usually my weekends away involve camping, sleeping on a floor or visiting friends so a time at a B & B was going to be a real treat. Little did I know how much of a treat.
When we arrived on Friday night we were warmly welcomed by hosts Rita and Rick and shown around. I confess my mind didn't totally get past the coffee machine. But I did register luxury. We then rushed off to do some shopping and meet friends for dinner.
When we returned that evening, a tray of drinks and chocolates awaited us. I went to bed (lovely, soft bed with crisp laundered sheets) but the other couples stayed up chatting and drinking in the lounge for hours.
Large, luxurious living room for relaxing, chatting or TV watching.
Positioned on the outskirts of Maleny the view over the Glasshouse Mountains is breathtaking. However the views within the property are so lovely you needn't really go anywhere else. The gardens are lush and there are little nooks for sitting and reading or just garden gazing.
One of the many areas to take a nap or read a book.
Being just outside Maleny, meals were easy to find. The first night we had Indian and the second night we had Italian. Rick and Rita advised on restaurants and other activities. We meant to visit the Gardens nearby as they sounded fabulous. Sadly we ran out of time.
