If you only have a weekend spare to sweep your loved one off their feet then head up to the Sunshine Coast hinterlands and make sure you stay at the . It's just over an hour North of Brisbane and definitely worth the drive.

My partner and I ran away for a weekend not too long ago and stayed in their amazing Tanah Lot King Spa room. The magnificent four-poster bed is snuggled in beside a huge spa that could comfortably fit five people and allows bathers to overlook the cow-speckled mountains. The beauty of the venue continues onto the wrap-around balcony where I lay on the lovely daybed facing the uninterrupted views and read under the stars for hours.



Our wonderful and tranquil night away from city noises and electronic devices was only made more special by the delicious breakfast served the following morning in the main building.

The hosts were extremely kind and when they discovered that they had no one staying the following night, they even allowed us a (very) late checkout free of charge.

It was a lovely base to explore stunning nearby Montville.
