Possibly the best budget laksa place in Sydney
Malay - Chinese
Malay - Chinese

This place, located at 50-58 Hunter Street makes its money by being low cost, high volume. It is packed with city workers at lunchtime and with good quality dishes at around the $12 mark, the customers know that they are getting value for money in this prime location.

Service is fast. Just order at the counter then make your way to the left slightly and in no time at all, you will be handed what you ordered to take to your table. Be careful though as they don't give you a tray and some dishes can be very hot!
There is a daily special or you can choose from multiple dishes on the menu such as the chicken laksa. You can even purchase a bib to wear, so it doesn't splosh over your work shirt.

Occasionally there are even free mandarins or other fruit on offer.
