Learn something new and save money at the same time
Erica Louise is running a class in making rosette brooches through Laneway Learning. You can find out more info and sign up by clicking here.
Erica recently came and did a talk at Boronia Library on up-cycling clothes. The talk was great - there were work sheets to take home plus a rack of clothes Erica had up-cycled. She's a very talented lady and everyone loved the talk.
By the way, for those unfamiliar with the term, here is the Wikipedia definition,"Upcycling is the process of converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of better quality or a higher environmental value".
I personally love playing around with op clothes, taking out unflattering sleeves, shortening hems, taking in, letting out, or making something entirely new from 2 or 3 pieces. Erica can show you how if you haven't a clue where to start.
Erica also runs op-shop tours and you can find out more about those through Erica's website.
