Have you ever wanted to control what goes into your chocolates and not have chemicals and the like in it?

I love my chocolate but when I read what is in it, it is quite frightening! Making your own artisan chocolates is both rewarding, and fun, and you can learn this ancient art from professionals.

If you are just a beginner, then Matters of Taste is a great place to start. They will explain the techniques carefully, and you can always ask questions if you do not quite understand why something is being done.

Tracey Cotterrell is the founder, managing director, and teacher of Matters of Taste.

Tracey is "serious about cooking but doesn't take cooking too seriously". She facilitates most of the classes with her special style of humour.

Tracey has a vast knowledge of food and cooking and is delighted to be able to teach clients all aspects of cooking, and to get them enthused about it.

    [b]ARTISAN CHOCOLATE CLASS**
This lesson is being given by Yuki who's father Taihei Nakamura, once brought home a box of chocolates for his then 6 year old daughter, Yuki. On that day Chocolatier Nakamura's passion for chocolates was born!

After several years overseas learning more about her passion, Yuki completed her formal training at Savour Chocolate and Patisserie School in Melbourne. Yuki then moved to Western Australia and took a position in the kitchen of Choux Cafe in Swanbourne.

Yuki continued to practice and study cooking and techniques, while learning more recipes for her chocolates - her friends benefited from this as they and her family were the recipients and tasters of her chocolate experiments.

It wasn't until her move to Australia that she decided to open Nakamura Chocolates, and she is now excelling in giving her clients the benefit of her years of study and discovery.

Yuki will be the Guest Presenter in this chocolate making class for Matters of Taste.

You take home the know-how to invent chocolates in your own kitchen to enjoy these delicacies with your friends and family!

Included in this class will be an opportunity for hands-on practice during the class, and you will partake in the many stages of the chocolate making process.

Take home your own assorted box of handcrafted chocolates including dipped chocolates with decorations, truffles and shelled chocolates.

Fresh coffee and fine teas will be served with their delicious Mocha Cake for morning tea.
