Due to popular demand, Put Your Heart Into It is running its popular Makeup Basics & Next Level Makeup Workshops again in November with Frankie Magazines Beauty Editor Dana Leviston.
The Makeup Basics runs Saturday 14th November 1pm and the Next Level Makeup workshops runs Thursday 19th November at 6.30pm.
Dana Leviston is a freelance makeup artist with 15 years experience in various areas of the beauty industry. She has painted the faces of hundreds of brides, musicians, models and shared her knowledge with many everyday people through one-on-one lessons, group lessons and tutorials.
Dana is the beauty editor for Frankie Magazine and publishes the popular monthly beauty blog, "Get Fancy".
Through connecting with such a wide variety of clients, Dana has discovered that makeup application doesn't always have to be about spending up big on expensive products at the overwhelming beauty counter. Many people tell her that they have never learnt how to apply makeup, and either avoid it all together or end up in a makeup "rut", applying the same shades, year-in-year-out.
This relaxed and friendly workshops are all about taking it back to basics, having fun trying something new – without the pressure of buying products you don't need or will never use.
The Basics workshop will cover:
How to use what you have in your existing cosmetic purse
Advice on which cosmetic items to purchase, upgrade (or throw away!)
Tips on investing in tools and cosmetics – best quality for your money
How to easily achieve a look that's right for you
How to apply a natural makeup base
Tips on applying simple everyday eye makeup, blush and grooming brows
Lipstick application and suitable shades for your skin tone
Bring your makeup bag!
Throughout the workshop, Dana will share her creative ideas and knowledge, leaving you with many new ideas to try at home.
And once you know how to apply your base and basic makeup such as one eyeshadow colour, mascara and your favourite lipstick, now it's time to:
These workshops are a wonderful way to meet new people and take some time out for yourself.
Be inspired by a creative team of artists and professionals who have worked within their fields of expertise for many years.
Everything is supplied and as a group, you'll also be invited to enjoy spectacular grazing table of local food and wine at the conclusion of the workshop.
