A new cheesy twist on high tea

There are more twists and turns on the idea of high teas in Melbourne than there are tea leaves in all of China. But one that is trending along with our love of raclette cheese is the idea of a cheese based high tea.

This year, The Westin Melbourne has partnered with Maker & Monger, a well-known raclette cheese bar, which specialises in artisan cheeses to bring you a cheese-inspired high tea.

High Cheese will feature three tiers of incredible cheeses showcased in both sweet and savoury dishes.

Think Basil crème fraiche layered brie, Marcel Petite Comté gourgeres, Roquefort & Cognac served with Pain d'Épices
Beaufort d'Alpage & leek tart and there will be whole baked Normandy Camembert with mini baguettes to rip apart and dip into the oozy goodness, as well as a basil infused French Brie made to a secret recipe.

Instead of traditional scones and cream, you'll be served creamed Giorgio Cravero Reggiano, the number one Reggiano maker in the world.

Other highlights include Carles Roquefort & Cognac, the very last of the handmade Roquefort in the world, served with Pain d'Épices, Holy Goat Organic Skyla Mille-Feuille with strawberries, thyme and drizzled with honey, and fresh late harvest figs stuffed with Gorgonzola Dolce and natural honeycomb. They'll be Tiramisu with Kahlua coffee syrup soaked chocolate cake and cannoli with whipped vanilla bean ricotta and honey

High Cheese is $70 per person and includes free-flowing Vittoria Coffee blends, Jing tea herbal infusions and hot chocolate. Wine pairings are also available with prices by the glass.

Served daily from 4 pm until 10 pm in the Lobby Lounge.

Dietary requirements cannot be met for this menu. Watch and drool.
