See where your imagination takes you
A while ago my husband, who works in the design industry, brought home a huge book of sample card with an extensive range of textures and colours in. Seeing this, and not wanting it to go to waste, inspired me to purchase a couple of different-sized circle punches on eBay and get crafting.

I really enjoy making my own greetings cards and have written an article previously outlining some of my other ideas and creations. Not only is it a fun hobby to have, it saves me money in the long run, as good quality shop-bought cards can be so expensive.

Here are some of my new circle-inspired cards:

Making pictures out of circles is really easy - once the circles are punched, all you need is some glue or double-sided tape to stick them in place, and a fine black pen to add detail or wording. Extra embellishments such as googly eyes or jewels (which I often re-use from cards we've been given) add a nice finishing touch. I buy a pack of good quality pre-folded blank cards such as these from Paperchase.
