For those of us with impending doom over the upcoming 'V' day that is Valentines, bathe in the glory that you are not alone. Even those of us in happy loving relationships can dread the big 'V'.

How important is it to our partner? What does it actually mean and how valuable is it to our relationship? Why should we pick out just one day in the whole year to declare undying love for our soulmate/lobster/swan (insert appropriate adjective) Shouldn't we just show our love in weird and wonderful ways when we feel like it?

I, for one, would appreciate a little love note or gesture when I least expect it. Just food for thought - make V day what you like or simply forget all about it. As a married woman, V day for me might be 26th July. V day for you might be a romantic sunset picnic on the 3rd March. Let's branch out a little. V day can be any day.
