A relaxing escape to indulge in your hobbies

Established in 1978, Make It Hobby 'n' Craft has continued to be a warm and friendly place for people interested in all things crafty.

Having been a family owned and run business since its beginnings it has maintained a friendliness and warmth that continues to attract customers. With some clients coming from areas like Bundaberg and the Gold Coast, its no wonder the store is highly respected in the world of art and craft.

Offering classes in all kinds of hobbies including hand embroidery, dressmaking, sewing, patchwork and fabric embellishment, the owners, Kerri Grayson and Monique Bubendorfer welcome craft fans of all interests to their shop. Often having children come in with their grandparents to learn some sewing, along with having a customer who has just turned 90, ages are not an issue to participate in the craft classes.

Unlike many businesses now, which seem to run solely on a web-based understanding of advertisement and customer behaviour, Ms Grayson and Ms Bubendorfer operate more traditionally with a lot of their advertising happening through word of mouth.

We have lots of return customers." Ms Grayson said.
And you always know if they come back, then you're doing the right thing." Ms Bubendorfer said

We're very happy with what people say and the response we get."
Make It Hobby 'n' Craft is also a sort of haven to those who regularly go to the classes, becoming an escape from regular, hectic life.

Our customers say that they can have the worst day in the world and come in here and all of a sudden its fun." Ms Grayson said.
