Support each Wish Child while they wait for their Wishes

Due to the state of what we're all going through with COVID-19 at our doorstep, Make-A-Wish Australia have had to postpone some wishes over the next few months, and perhaps more. With social distancing laws in place, most community-based fundraising events and volunteer activities have also come to a halt.
Children don't always understand and it's heartbreaking that their wishes can't come true at a time when they need it most. For now, Make-A-Wish have come up with a great plan to keep Wish Kids positive and focused on the future through Wish Anticipation.
With hope and something to look forward to, these kids can go on being themselves; children, rather than patients, with an outlet that allows them to dream. The Wish Team are working at maximum capacity (remotely) to ensure each Wish Child is supported through imagination and creativity while they wait for their wish to come true. The Team are absolutely committed to ensuring every eligible child on the program has the very best wish experience when it's safe to do so.
When COVID-19 passes, the Team will still be making wishes come true for thousands of Australian children that need them. Currently, with suppliers, volunteers and partners getting back on their financial feet, your help is needed now more than ever to bring these wishes to life.
You can assist Make-A-Wish during this difficult period and help make the seemingly impossible, possible. Find out more HERE. Together we can all give the brightest of days to children who are fighting critical illnesses. It's no surprise the best way to help is through donations, so please DONATE TODAY. Every dollar counts.
If you can make regular donations, that's great, as it helps them plan ahead and provide greater certainty. There are many ways to help outside of being a regular giver. You could donate Qantas points to help future wishes take flight. You could also have parties with a purpose. Create an online Wishing Well and have your guests give wishes instead of gifts. It's an inspirational alternative to help sick kids who number 700 and counting, and need you. Find out more HERE. Bring hope and be their local hero.
