Moomba Festival

From March 8th-11th, join in the spirit of celebration at the Moomba Festival, along the Yarra River. Enjoy fireworks, carnival rides, trapeze workshops, live music, sporting competitions, family friendly activities, and the infamous Birdman Rally. A free outdoor event, appealing to all ages.

5. Melbourne International Comedy Festival
Laugh til your belly hurts at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, from March 27th - April 21st. One of the three largest comedy festivals in the world, the program includes stand-up comedy, cabaret, theatre, street performance, film, television, radio and visual arts. Tickets available online and via Ticketmaster, with an average admission cost of $26.
