While in Perth recently, I was lucky enough to be introduced to a French cafe and bakery called Maison St. Honore in the Swan Valley. If you love everything French just like me, then boy are you in for a happy time! This place makes you feel like you have stepped into the south of France.
When you walk into Maison St. Honore, a plethora of different flavoured macarons, pastries and cakes will greet you. Each one delicate, beautiful and layered with flavours that go together like sun and sunscreen, cream and strawberries, grandmas and knitting and...you get the point. These guys know their business.
After much debate as to which sweet treat to choose, I went with "The Gold Bar". Cutting into it I discovered it was made up of chocolate mousse, layers of different types of chocolate and a final layer of edible gold. Yum! My lovely sister went with the Mille Feuilles aka authentic French vanilla slice which was also lovely. The coffee was great, and the staff were warm. But that's not all! The range of macarons is unthinkable including salted caramel, pistachio, strawberry, bubblegum, peanut butter, blueberry, lemon, coffee, creme Brulee, chocolate, raspberry and any other flavour you can think of, they have. They also have a savoury menu. I guess I will have to try that next time. No doubt it will also be good.

There is plenty of indoor and outdoor tables to sit at. Including a grassed area overlooking a small vineyard, playground and chalkboard for the kids. On chilly days, they provide blankets. The site caters to young and old and is wheelchair friendly. They are located at 100 Benara Road Caversham, Western Australia.
