80s rock star Rick Springfield has added 'novelist' to his CV with "Magnificent Vibration", a quirky, witty tale involving sex, God, and what really lies beneath Loch Ness.

Is it philosophy? Is it sci-fi? Is it a book about love and death and the whole damn thing? Yes.

Hapless and depressed nerd Bobby, recently divorced and eking out a living at a bad video editing company (where, he's just discovered, his wife has been having sex with his co-workers), steals a book called "magnificent Vibration" and calls a cellphone number - '1-800-Call-God' written inside the front cover.

It turns out it really is God, and he's not what Bobby expected.

Joining forces with Alice, a sexy nun, and Lexington, an outsized Mexican-American, Bobby embarks on a surreal mission.

This genre-bending book will have you smiling - and thinking.
