Give cosplay your best shot with the preliminary round of the eighth annual Madman National Cosplay Championship taking place at the festival. Or, if trading card tournaments are more your style, Bushiroad will be hosting their world championship at the Madman Anime Festival.
The Madman Anime Festival will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre over Saturday September 3 and Sunday September 4. Buy your tickets ahead of time here. A day pass to either the Saturday or Sunday is $40 per person, or you can snap up a weekend pass for $60. For extra privileges including priority queuing, premium seating and more, you can get a VIP pass for $290 per person.
The festival is suitable for all ages, though some areas are restricted to those fifteen and over. Children under thirteen must be accompanied by an adult, and children under ten are admitted for free with a paying adult.
