5 shops for all things MELBOURNE by local artists

Well gift giving is a tough gig sometimes. You may not know the persons tastes completely. Or they are a bit fussy. Maybe they seem to have it all.

But there is one gift that will hit the spot every time, a gift made in Melbourne or about Melbourne. So this is my secret to you; give something extra special and show off your city at the same time.

And I have found 5 great shops to buy, buy, buy everything Melbourne or crafted by Australian Designers.

Melbourne Style

MelbourneStyle - Owned and run by Maree Coote.

This is a fabulous shop in South Melbourne on Clarendon Street. It is stocked to the brim with stunning artworks, jewellery, books, ceramics, pillows, furniture, lamps, and much much more.
And Maree Coote also stocks her "Melbourne Book" with has collected several gold Medals. You are surrounded by her artwork that is both funny and thought-provoking. I claimed a Dame Edna portrait which is priceless. She stocks many local artists work, so the selection is massive.
