Now in its eighth year, the Made in Melbourne film festival celebrates both local filmmakers and their films. The festival, which started as just a single night eight years ago, now has numerous films across the week. Included in a week-long program of short films, feature films and web series'.
Changes were made this year to the program to encourage work by females, as well as indigenous filmmakers. One such film is "Innuendo" by Saara Lamberg, a dark and twisted tale about a Finnish girl who grew up in a religious and abusive family and is now working as a nude model in art classes. Full of dark turns and engaging, it is just one the films on offer at the Made in Melbourne film festival.
