It's the weekend, it is raining, and the kids are complaining...you need a break!
Madame Tussauds Sydney is definitely the place to visit.
I was actually surprised on how much fun I had here; it was certainly not what I expected.
You will be amazed on how many things there are to do here besides staring at famous celebrities and you won't even notice that the kids are with you! There are many interactive activities to do, such as dressing up as an historian, spinning books to reveal our beautiful country's history, stepping into Ned Kelly's armour or shaking Captain Cook's hand as you exchange maps. Maybe you would like to take the throne in Queen Elizabeth's chair...
Almost all the wax figures look identical to the real life person, from their facial expressions to their height.
The museum is also filled with informative history ranging from Captain Cook's arrival, Aboriginal history, Australia's famous poets, writers, criminals, sport legends etc.
There are eight zones in total: History, Leaders, Sports, Music, Culture, TV, A Lists (Celebrities) and Film zone.

Have a chat with Oprah, add up sums with Albert Einstein and sing along to your favorite songs...
They also hold events at the museum which includes the monthly after work drinks where guests will enjoy food, drinks and music.
There is the Halloween Fancy Dress event, where you experience Madame Tussauds after dark with characters haunting you and finally the Christmas Party – be sure to check their website for more information regarding events.
Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in Sydney is a must see when you are at Darling Harbour regardless of the weather. (Definitely worth a visit on rainy days to help keep the kids entertained for hours).
