A quirky and mysterious bar with bags of charm
This is the perfect bar for anybody who wants to experience something fun and bizarre on a budget.
Madame Claude is a quirky spot, housed in a former brothel in Kreuzberg. It boasts DJ sets and live music each night, but the first thing you will notice is the decor. Televisions, kitchen sinks, tables and chairs frame the ceiling of the main bar, reminiscent of a scene from Alice in Wonderland.
The place is full of nooks and crannies and at times it feels like a strange underground maze. An old school Mortal Kombat arcade machine appears in one corner, a foosball table in another. This only adds to its charm and you'll soon find yourself wanting to spend hours lost in Madame Claude's, soaking up the atmosphere.
The entry fee is a pay-as-you-feel affair with the suggested donation between €3 and €8. Budding DJs and musicians can apply for a slot at Madame Claude's and the place is available to book for events, residencies and more.
