Mosaics and the promised land
Madaba, the city of Mosaics. Where we walked through the archaeological centre where there were some floor and wall mosaics of the Catholic era of Jordan.

We also peaked inside the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George to view the Byzantine mosaic of the map of the holy land.

Mount Nebo is a mountain on the Arabic mountain range with amazing views into the Jordan River Valley, Dead Sea, Jerico and Jerusalem.

It is believed to be the site where Moses saw the promised land and we went into the memorial church of Moses to look at the mosaics.

We also checked out the Handicraft Centre of Mount Nebo where young people and people with special needs are employed and trained in mosaic making. There work is sold with the proceeds going back to the maker.
