Mad Pizza e Bar, Surry Hills

Waiters scrambled around, pizzas in hand while the DJ played some killer beats. Mad Pizza in Surry Hills was buzzing with excitement and smiles all round, the joint was packed on a Friday night.

All of the food, was delicious. The combination of the basil leaves, ripe red tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella drizzled with olive oil, in the toasted panini caprese for an entree, opened our palettes to the Italian flavours to come. The pizza bases were thin and filled with fresh tasty toppings, living up to its slogan 'superthin and healthy.' The pasta was mouth watering, especially the nero tagliatelle marinara filled with prawns and clams.

We decided to try something new and enjoyed the jugs of fruity sangria along with basilicata; the essence of Italy.

Waiters were courteous and kind and overall the dining experience was a lovely end to a busy week.
