Keeping with the City of Fremantle's history and longstanding tradition of being a market town, the fun-filled Mad Hatter Markets is now set to be an ongoing event in the heart of Fremantle. This vibrant market takes place at Kings Square every Wednesday to Saturday all year round, from 10am to 4pm.
Supported by the Fremantle City Council, the weekly markets is a family-run, Australian owned market that display a local community town rich with history and culture. The spirit of Fremantle is reflected in the abundant number of marketplace stalls and events, featuring local producers and artists selling a huge range of merchandise, products and services. There is a wide array of arts and crafts, cosmetics, plants, clothing and accessories, jewellery, toys and much more to browse through and choose from to reward yourself or gift to others. Books and other reading material can also be found in the shaded areas under the big trees in Kings Square to create an outdoor book cafe for everybody.

Grab a coffee, breakfast or lunch from one of the many food stalls or pick up some fresh local produce to cook up a storm in the comfort of your own kitchen. International cuisines, snacks, drinks and ice cream are available for purchase to satisfy immediate hunger pangs while a number of green grocers, fish mongers, butchers and bakers are selling their fresh produce for gourmet meals at home.
