I write for Weekend Notes and I take photographs, usually sunsets and sunrises. Occasionally I include my photos in my articles. I like to promote Geelong, and activities around Geelong.
Event: -
The Mad Cow Mud Run will be held in Princess Park, Shepparton, Victoria during the weekend of March 12th and March 13th 2016.

On Saturday March 12th there is a children's 2km obstacle race. The Kid's Event is held at SPC / Ardmona Kids Town at Peter Ross Edwards Causeway. Then the Mad Cow Mud Run, a 12km Mud Run / obstacle race is held on Sunday March 13th. The Adult event starts and finishes at Princess Park, 2 Quinan Parade, Shepparton.

If you enjoy a challenge, and like to help raise money for a worthwhile cause, then you might enjoy the Mad Cow Mud Run event. You would need to be reasonably fit to enter the Run, so if you feel you are of average fitness you should be able to complete this race. Even if you are feeling a little but unfit, if you register for the event now, and start training, your fitness level should be on track by March next year.

The event is held over the Labour Day Weekend. The aim of event is to raise funds for 3SR's Give Me Five for Kids Campaign, which is supporting GV Health's Children's Ward.

Set yourself a Goal and then train for the 2016 Mad Cow Mud Run, and complete the whole 12 kilometres. You can expect to have fun, on the bigger and better obstacle course, more mud and more challenges. Enjoy the memories you create as you compete in this course, running along the banks of the Goulburn River. The event focuses more on having fun than on serious running. The race is timed so you can compete against your personal best (PB) time. Run, crawl, climb, carry and laugh, and expect a bit of mud.

The children's event will be held at Kids Town, between Shepparton and Mooroopna. Children need to be of average fitness to do the 2km course. They will have fun as they run, crawl, climb, carry and laugh and get muddy. Children can enter the event on their own or as part of a team. Everyone is there to have fun. The course is challenging however care has been taken to make the course as safe as possible. Children need to be aged between 8 to 15 years to enter the Kids Event.

Head to Shepparton for the Labour weekend, join in the fun as you run through country and bushland scenery, and challenge yourself in an event you will never forget. At the same time you will be raising much needed funds for a great Charity - Give Me 5 For Kids.

There will be entertainment provided for the children. Food and drinks will be for sale on both days. There is a public viewing area half way along the course so your family and friends can cheer you on as you come past.

I hope that you can get to Shepparton for a weekend of fun and challenging obstacle courses for adults and for children. The Mad Cow Mud Run are looking for volunteers so if you don't think you could complete the 12km obstacle course, you might have as much fun by becoming a volunteer.
