Sydneysiders and history buffs may want to take advantage of the free exhibition by Macquarie Group and the State Library of New South Wales to learn more about Lachlan Macquarie.

Entitled "Macquarie the Governor 1810 to 1821", this exhibition features Australia's most successful early governor and his achievements, as well as the early history of Sydney.

On show will also be materials from the State Library of New South Wales large collection of material related to Lachlan Macquarie including his chair, holey dollars and dumps and convict material. Trained educators for school groups are also onsite to help students in their learning experience.
