Put Sunday 9th February 2020 in your diary for the Macarthur Travel Expo, held at the Campbeltown Catholic Club. Over 40 travel companies are attending, offering expert talks, exclusive travel deals and the opportunity to win a 2-night short break cruise onboard Celebrity Eclipse.

A travel expo is a great place to find out about new cruise ships launching, travel discounts and to gather information to help you plan future travel.

Special offers I've seen at past travel expos have included cabin upgrades, onboard credit and cheaper deposits, however, the only way to find out exactly what's on offer is to attend in person. Though it's been suggested there will be last-minute discounts, giveaways and expo exclusives on offer.

On the day, you can meet representatives from:
• Princess Cruises
• Qantas Holidays
• APT
• Avalon Waterways
• P & O Cruises
• Carnival Cruises
• Holland America Line
• Royal Caribbean
• Celebrity Cruises
• Hurtigruten
• Intrepid
• Contiki
• Bench International
• Girls Going Global
• Wendy Wu Tours
• Globus and Trafalgar plus many more

• Throughout the day, there's expert talks and workshops from most of the companies attending, giving you an opportunity to hear firsthand what makes that company unique and some of the destinations and tours on offer.

Flicking through a brochure will give you basic information but hearing someone talk at length about their experiences on a specific ship or on a tour is memorable and exciting.

If you're uncertain about what style of touring or cruising would suit you, the expert talks are also a great place to understand the key differences between companies.

Perhaps you're cruise curious and an expo provides an opportunity to learn about everything a cruise holiday entails, from the boarding process to inclusions (meals, entertainment, multiple destinations) to shore excursions.

Even if you've never travelled, a cruise or a pre-organised tour is a great way to experience a destination, without any worry or fuss whilst making new friends.

There will also be travel agents onsite who can help you out with flights, travel insurance and any other travel needs like transfers or accommodation.

Check the Travel Expo website for a full list of presentations.

If you're not ready to book, a travel expo is the perfect place to be inspired, gather information, and get an idea of prices so you can save up for your next big trip away.

The Campbelltown Catholic Club offers plenty of dining options . This allows you time to peruse your travel brochures and book your dream vacation on the day (ensuring you snare the best deals) without making any rash decisions whilst hungry, and being lured by images of elegant dining rooms and tropical cruise buffets.

The Hello World Macarthur Travel Expo runs from 10am to 2pm at the Campbelltown Catholic Club, 20/22 Camden Road, Campbelltown NSW 2560. Entry is free, though they like you to pre-register which you can do here . There's free parking onsite or it's an 18 minute walk from Campbelltown train station .
