Lyrebird Harps from Sydney Opera House website
There’s always something fun on for all ages at the Sydney Opera House. Whether its plays, musicals, talks or creative workshops, you’re sure to find something for the whole family at any time of the year. So, if you have a child who is at least seven years of age, the y come along to the Centre for Creativity. On the 22nd of September, there is a free creative play morning called
Lyrebird Harps , which is going to be an epic art odyssey for children aged seven and over.
This Sunday morning of free creative play will have two sessions on the day. The first is at 10.30am, and the second is at 12.30pm. Each one runs for an hour, and is sure to be lots of fun for everyone who attends. You are able to book a maximum of four tickets, and adults are required to book a ticket for themselves and their attending child or children. Please keep in mind that if your registered tickets are in excess of the limit, they may be cancelled without notice.
During this workshop, you will learn how to make a harp and crown with Ms Anney Bounpraesuth, and learn about the ancient Greek rockstars called bards and the lyre bird of Australia. And all while you make a lyrebird costume! So come and have some creative fun!
