Walking into Luxe, it is immediately clear that godlike looks are a prerequisite of employment there. The coffee is great. The baristas, magnificent. This is very much a benefit - mostly because it is easier to shovel yet another decadent pastry into my mouth after my jaw has dropped to the floor. Classy, like a French film.

Charming and gorgeous staff aside, the food is fantastic. The bread is cooked onsite and you can tell. The entire place smells of rich coffee and rising loafs. The eggs are rich, the vegetables are perfection. The prices are pretty normal, eggs on sourdough and a coffee will set you back about fifteen dollars. Go and absorb the charm and, if you are like me, four to five brownies.

4.5 Sneaky hats
