Lunchtimes at Elder Hall

As part of CONCERT SEASON TWO, on Friday, September 28th, a piano recital by Clemens Leske; he will be playing:

Beethoven 15 Piano variations and Fugue in E flat, Op.35 "Eroica Variations"

& Beethoven: Bagatelles Op. 126


Will be playing on Friday, October 5, performing:

Shostakovich: String Quartet
No. 9 in E flat, Op. 117


Harpo plays the harp!

Will be playing on Friday, October 12, with Geoffrey Collins on flute; Imants Larsens: Viola and Suzanne Handel playing the harp.
They will perform: Takemitsu: And then I knew 'Twas Wind

Conyngham: Streams
Debussy: Sonata for Flute, Viola and Harp

On Friday, 19 October, there will be a Violin Recital, with Elizabeth Layton on Violin & Jamie Cock, on Piano. They will play:

Brett Dean: Berlin Music

Brahms: Violin Sonata No. 2, in A major, Op. 100

& Wieniawski: Polonaise de Concert Op. 4


there will be a classics concert on Friday, 26 October, with Elder Conservatorium Wind Orchestra

Robert Hower, will conduct a programme to include works by: Bach, Mendelssohn, Wagner and more!

SUOR ANGELICA, on Friday, 2 November, with

Co-Opera, or Opera on the Move

Brian Chatterton is the Musical Director, presenting Suor Angelica, an opera in one act by Giacomo Puccini

On Friday, November 9th, we have a piano quartet with Natsuko Yoshimoto on Violin, Imants Larsens on Viola, Rachael Tobin, on Cello and Kristian Chong, on Piano.

They will play: Mahler Piano Quartet in A minor

Faure` Piano Quartet No. 2 in G minor, Op. 45

We then have: BETA SIGMA PHI MUSIC AWARDS, whereby, on Friday, November 16, four finalists from the Elder Conservatorium will compete for a total of $2400 in prizes.

Winners will be announced at the end of the concert.

On Friday, November 23rd, a Violin Recital with Natsuko Yashimoto on Violin & Bernadette Harvey on Piano.

Ottorino Respighi: Sonata in B minor for Violin and Piano
