David Drury is one of Australia's most acclaimed organ virtuosos, and arguably our finest liturgical organist. He performs regularly with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and has undertaken many international tours, giving recitals in venues such as Westminster Abbey and Notre Dame Cathedral.
In 1987, he won the Tournemire prize for improvisation at the St Alban's International Organ Competition and continues to astound audiences and congregations alike with his extraordinary talent for extemporization. David also has a large output as a choral composer.
David is a regular guest organist at Pilgrim, having visited many times over the past two decades, playing for numerous services and recitals. David also accompanied the Pilgrim Choir on its 2017/18 tour of England, and his talent and experience contributed in no small part to the success of that venture.
