Lunch Choices @ Toowong Village Shopping Centre

[ADVERT] Toowong Village Shopping Centre has a food court plus a few other options for lunch on the go. I have worked in Toowong for awhile now so am familiar with most things on offer. The lunch crowd is mostly working people so the food has to be fast and fresh to keep the punters coming back.

One of my favourites is rice paper rolls from Two Wongs Asian. The rolls are fresh and generous in their fillings. For $2.20 you get chicken, prawn, beef, pork or tofu rolls and a little pot of yummy sauce. Two rolls is usually enough to satisfy my lunchtime appetite.


The crispy skin chicken with rice from Two Wongs is also really great. It is just under $10 and comes with a clear soup. The crunchy golden skin is what does it for me. They also have a good variety of other asian delicacies on the menu.

If I feel the urge for a Kebab I go to Sinbad's. Their kebabs are filling and tasty and they also do good coffee.

Suncrane Japanese is another popular choice. All their hot dishes are around $10. They have pictures so you can see what you are getting.


If you are feeling a little less hungry there is Boost Juice for a quick and healthy alternative. There is also the ubiquitous McDonalds, Route 66 for burgers, and some salad and sandwich places.


Outside of the food court itself is Aromas Cafe, which I have never visited, as well as Sizzler upstairs, which has been the venue for a couple of group lunches.

If you are feeling DIY then get creative with some fresh fruit and vegies from Fruity Capers or some beautiful deli items from the adjoining Fruity Capers Deli. The quality of produce from these places is fantastic and is reflected in the price.


If you find yourself around Toowong at lunchtime then it's worth a browse through the shopping centre food court to satisfy your lunchtime craving. You can find a full list of retailers at the website.
