This is a stunning posh beachside restaurant with uninterrupted majestic views over Balmoral Beach. It is refined, modern and elegant. You can expect the finest here and it's a perfect venue for Mother's Day celebrations.

This is a well-known modern Australian restaurant that offers superb meals using the freshest local produce. The service you can expect here is, of course, impeccable. The staff are courteous and friendly and will make your celebration memorable.

The fitout is stunning with open-plan interior decoration and their use of floor to ceiling windows to give an uninterrupted view of Balmoral Beach is simply clever.

Three large mirror panels on the wall enlarge the dining space and reflect the beautiful glistering ocean views. This place sparkles.

It was a beautiful day when we visited for a special celebration.

The restaurant reserved a table by the window for us. A yacht-dotted harbour view was stunning under the warm autumn sun and the ambiance was merry and we were eager to dine.

The menu looked appealing with a strong seafood presence and consisted of nice Mediterranean/Italian driven dishes.

Our first main was the Strozzapreti pasta twirled in amongst eastern king prawns and New Zealand clams. It was spiced with mild chilli and Sardinian bottarga. The pasta was cooked al dente with fairly light seasonings.

The seafood was beautifully cooked. The serving was quite substantial and we struggled to finish it.

Our next main was the 'melting' Huon Valley Tasmanian salmon, which looked lovely and light. The salmon plated prettily on the soft creamy pea puree. The hazelnut sprinkles added crunch and texture to the dish and the side garnish of shimeji mushrooms was the perfect complement.

True to the name, the salmon delivered a melt-in-your-mouth taste sensation. It was perfectly cooked and was buttery-soft. It was super moist and tender and we couldn't asked for a better dish than this. Of course, the artful crispy skin was the perfect touch.

It was an amazing dish that I would like to have over and over again.

The waitstaff highly recommended the desserts and we could not justify a celebration without something sweet.

We were awed at the marvellous presentation of this soft-centred chocolate pudding. It was vibrant and vividly arranged with rhubarb compote and caramel powder.

The delicate hibiscus ice cream was so heavenly we wanted more.

The chocolate pudding was warm and when we sliced it through, rich chocolate lava flow out. It was quite a satisfying visual feast.

Our second dessert, the Earl Grey creme brûlée with apple compote & berries, dimmed next to the stunning chocolate pudding. This dessert was much lighter and softer on the palate.

The meal was slightly on the expensive side but it was well worth it for a special occasion.
