Adults cost $13, Concession is $11, Kids 4-16 are $9, and they do a carload price, too, which is $30 from Thursday to Sunday and $25 from Monday to Wednesday.
The drive-in is open every single night except for Christmas. It is family owned and provides a great atmosphere for movie watching.
The best part about the drive-in is that you can show up in your pyjamas, use your phone, adjust the volume yourself, talk to your family and kids, lie back and relax to watch your film. It is much better than going to the regular cinema.
The drive-in has a cafe that sells a range of movie food such as hot chips, hotdogs, chocolate, soft drink, chips, hamburgers and popcorn..
We have seen many films at this drive-in and it has always been a great experience. One time my father could not find his car after we left the cafe, so one of the staff came out with a torch to try to locate it, which was fantastic customer service.
The screen quality of the movie is just the same as the cinema and of course the volume is dictated by you, so you don't need to worry about it being too quiet or too loud.
The ticket sales staff are really nice and you can tell they love their job. It makes you want to return each time and give them your business.
Kids will enjoy seeing a movie here as it's less hassle than queueing up at a movie theatre, plus if they get bored and rowdy it doesn't matter because they are confined to the car and not disturbing other patrons.
You cannot pre-book a car spot here, however you must know it can get quite busy especially when a popular new film is out. They ask you to try to arrive thirty minutes beforehand on weeknights and an hour before on weekends.
If you want to watch a movie and are close to Dandenong, I recommend visiting Lunar Drive-In as they are great people who want to provide affordable movie viewing for families. You won't regret it.
