Melbourne's Luna Park is hosting its annual Hot Dog Eating Competition in celebration of International Hot Dog Day on Saturday 25th July.
Want to watch strong-stomached individuals devour a tower of hot dogs in the name of bravery and courage? Well, if you do, head on down and catch the food chaos from 1pm.
Luna Park is keeping things on a level playing field by splitting the competitive eaters into male and female rounds, with everyone meeting the age requirement of 18 years and over. First Aid will be on hand for any hot dog related emergencies – as will buckets. Have a sneak peek at the current competitors going head to head here.
It is FREE to view this event and while the competition takes place, spectators will also enjoy FREE hot dog samples! Don't worry, you can eat at normal speed!
Last year's Top Dog, Bede Carroll of Tecoma has some sound advice for those brave enough to compete in 2015, "prepare, prepare, prepare – I didn't and I knew 5 minutes in that it probably wasn't the best tactic! But holding up that trophy was definitely a triumph, I highly recommend taking part especially if you have a big appetite and a competitive spirit to match."
Come along and support the daring competitors on Saturday 25th July! At 102 years young, Melbourne's Luna Park is having more fun than ever before.
