Art Kinetica and Lauren Eisinger presents 'Luminous' running as part of Adelaide Fringe Festival at Gluttony: The Peacock at 9:30pm from February 16th until March 14th. Whats better than art, well when you combine art, circus and the Adelaide Fringe with blackout lighting you get Luminous. The show on February 25th was filled with eager fans not quite sure what to expect. The idea of a circus in the dark hasn't been seen in Adelaide before, so would've intrigued a lot of people.

As the show begins the performers emerge painted in glow in the dark paint and illuminated with UV lights. They present an acrobatic routine around the floor. The show is part art and part circus, but it works. The characters are dressed head to toe in black, so all you can see is the UV paint moving around the stage.

Its up to the performers to use their instincts to execute skills involving hand balancing, contortion and club juggling. Although there were a few small mistakes, overall it was a really good show. These mistakes happened because unlike a normal circus its in the dark so the performers can't always determine how it will go, especially when they can't see.

The show is a cocktail of beautiful art, creative circus and a dark night out. Luminous is a good fringe show choice if you're looking for something a little different this fringe season 4/5 Stars
