Lumen is an exquisite exhibition of blown, sculpted and illuminated works by Adelaide glass artist Jaan Andres.

Originally from Canada, where he graduated in Fine Arts at Alberta College of Art and Design, Jaan chose Adelaide and an Associate training program at the Jam Factory to further his skills.

As luck would have it, he's still here living and working as a glassmaker/designer and has now created this superb exhibition for the 2015 Adelaide Fringe.

You can hear Jaan being interviewed by Stephen Moylan on Linkadelaide here

Lumen features several major works created in the past year, including the centerpiece and title work a stunning lamp that paves the way for Jaan's future direction in lighting design.

Fans of retro and amber glass will delight in Tribe, featuring eleven blown glass 'droids' from tiny to giant, clustered in a somewhat conversational gathering.

Crystal Occurrence is a collection of hot sculpted glass pieces, looking as cold as ice and as though they could provide some welcome relief for the long, hot days of summer.

A collection of beautiful bowls, hot sculpted and wheel finished, round off this not-to-be-missed exhibition.
