I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.

The menu has a lot of options for building your own poke bowl but if you find it too difficult to choose, you can try one of the pre-set bowls. These can be customised with your choice of black rice, white rice or coconut turmeric rice and sauce. The sauces range from a simple soy to a wasabi mayonnaise.

The bowls are full of different colours, textures and flavours which can be eaten separately or mixed together. The mango in the salmon bowl was a sweet surprise that complemented the creamy avocado, crunchy edamame and salty seaweed salad.

There bowls that are free from gluten and there are choices suitable for vegetarians and vegans. The grilled halloumi poke bowl also contained the seaweed salad as well as tomato, corn, capsicum, avocado, pickled ginger and seaweed chips. The coriander, ginger and lime sauce added a zing.

The cafe has a few dine-in tables inside or alfresco or the guys will make you up a bowl in a takeaway container. There are bottles of cold water in the fridge and the coffee is great too. The menu will vary depending on the availability and quality of the fresh produce to ensure diners have the best.
Come along to Lulu's Cafe and Poke for hearty, satisfying, guilt-free dining.
