For an opulent atmosphere, city and water views, and some of the best mixologists in Melbourne, head to , on the 55th Floor of the Rialto Towers, 525 Collins St.

The Ground floor receptionist will escort you to the 55th floor where you will be dazzled by views, welcomed by waist-coated staff, and seated on lounge chairs positioned intimately and facing the view along the window, or on larger couches in the centre area at the ends of the room.

The 12 item snack menu offers a range from caviar ($190) and chickpea fries ($12), to the signature ham and cheese toastie ($18), and a less expensive way to try Shannon Bennett's creations; delightful with any one of the list of quirky Victorian history inspired cocktails presented in a pop up menu, cellared wines, champagne or boutique beers and spirits. My beverage recommendation, a Negroni ($20), which is served accompanied with perfectly paired blanched almonds crystallised in Campari and orange sugar. [BREAK]
A decadent cocktail lounge with impressive views and armchair seating, will have you happily pass hours away.

opens Monday 5.30-midnight, Tuesday and Wednesday noon-midnight, Thursday noon-1am, Saturday noon-3am, and Sunday noon-6pm. Live music every Sunday from 3pm.
