This is a quirky comedy show about Lucy and Sphenn, only thing is, Lucy is a red bicycle. That said though, Nicolas Angelosanto does a great job of convincing you that his best friend is a real character by cleverly suspending disbelief in this cosy venue.
With her shiny red duco and very flexible middle, Lucy and best friend Sphenn take you on a journey through their daily routine, including yoga, breakfast and love letters to each other. But on one special day a simple trip to the park redirects their serene existence into an unexpected direction. From meeting a bossy Zumba lady and a slightly less bossy post office lady to making a naughty film, both Lucy and Sphenn end up locked up, but unfortunately not together.
Their story continues but you'll have to go to the show to find out more as there are no further spoilers from me.
Nicolas has great presence and makes a lot out of not very much. Definitely good for a few hearty laughs.
This family comedy show was born overseas in France, where Nicolas accidentally stumbled across Lucy in a local flea market and then when faced with selling her or all of his other possessions, he opted to keep his best friend. Well, who wouldn't?
Lucy & Me has been performed at the Sydney Comedy Fringe and around Brisbane before hitting the Adelaide Fringe.
